Public Transportation
Bus service is provided between the University at Rio and the city of Patras. Routes 601, 604, and 605 depart from the downtown bus terminal (Ermou Street) every 10–15 minutes and connect the University with the city.
Since some buses travel directly to the town of Rio without entering the campus, it is advisable to ask the driver before boarding whether the bus stops at Panepistimio (University).
Route 901 departs from the corner of Othonos Amalias and Karolou Avenue No. 4.
The journey takes approximately 30 minutes. The standard ticket costs €1.80 (Zone B).
Bus tickets can be purchased at the ticket office in King George Square, from kiosks around the city, or at the Rio Campus bus stop next to Building A (Pritaneia).
You can also buy a ticket directly from the driver for €2.00, provided that NFC is enabled on your device.
