A. Traveling from Patras to Athens

From Patras, you can reach Athens by:

  1. By coach (KTEL)
  2. By combining suburban rail, train, and bus
  3. By taxi or van
  4. Participating in the Conference Day Trip

Option 1: By Coach (KTEL)

Route: Take the bus from the Patras coach station of Achaias KTEL. It goes directly to the Kifisos Intercity Bus Terminal in Athens.

Ticket: Tickets are available at Achaias KTEL. Buses run very frequently, and you can choose between a regular or an Express service.
Fare: €22.60 (one-way ticket).

Continue: Upon arrival at the Kifisos Intercity Bus Terminal in Athens, take city bus 051 to downtown Athens. Tickets can be purchased at the station.
Fare: €1.50 (one-way ticket).

Option 2: By Train and Bus (Suburban Railway)

Route: From Patras train station, take the bus operated by Hellenic Train to Kiato Station. From Kiato Station, take the suburban railway (Kiato – Piraeus line). During the journey, you can transfer to a train heading towards your destination in Athens.

Tickets and information: Tickets and schedules are available through the official Hellenic Train network.
Approximate fare: €17.00 (one-way ticket).

Option 3: By Road (Taxi or Van)

Taxi transfer from Athens International Airport to hotels in Patras:

  • Up to 3 passengers traveling together: €350

Minibus transfer from the airport to hotels in Patras:

  • Up to 6 passengers traveling together: €550

Travel time: Approximately 215 km and around 2 to 2.5 hours.

Option 4: Participation in the Conference Day Trip – October 15, 2026

Organized by UMAC 2025.

Itinerary: Departure from Patras in the morning; arrival at the Stymphalia Environmental Museum; welcome reception; guided tour; lunch provided. Departure for Athens in the afternoon. Arrival in Athens at approximately 7:00 p.m.

Details about the trip will be announced shortly.

Early bird price:

B. Traveling from Patras to Athens International Airport "Eleftherios Venizelos"

From Patras, you can reach Athens International Airport "Eleftherios Venizelos" by:

  1. By coach (KTEL)
  2. By combining suburban rail, train, and bus
  3. By taxi or van

Option 1: By Coach (KTEL)

Route: Take the bus from the Patras coach station of Achaias KTEL. It goes directly to the Kifisos Intercity Bus Terminal in Athens.

Ticket: Tickets are available at Achaias KTEL. Buses run very frequently, with regular and Express services available.

Continue: From Kifisos Intercity Bus Terminal, take bus X93 to Athens International Airport "Eleftherios Venizelos". Tickets are available at the Kifisos bus terminal.
Fare: €6.00 (one-way ticket).
