UMAC 2026 Conference focuses on the role of University Museums as active contributors to sustainable development. Discussions will explore how museums connect academic research with society, enhance public engagement, and contribute to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

UMAC 2026 Conference will take place in October 2026 in Greece, with options for both on-site and online participation.

The Conference is open to museum professionals, cultural managers, researchers, scholars, students, and anyone interested in University Museums and their role in society.

You can participate either by attending the Conference (on-site or online) or by submitting a proposal to present your work.

• How can I submit a presentation proposal? 

ICOM members who wish to deliver a presentation at the Conference are required to complete and submit the online form available on this website no later than April 16.

• What can I do if my presentation proposal has not been accepted, but I still wish to attend the Conference?

You are welcome to attend the Conference as a participant, either on-site or online, upon registration.

• Is there a deadline for proposal submissions?

Yes, proposals can be submitted between 6–16 April 2026. Please make sure to submit your proposal within this period.

• When will I be notified about the acceptance of my proposal?

Applicants will be informed about the outcome of their submission after the review process is completed and by May 30, 2026.

English, French and Greek
